Food

A hearty Farm House Breakfast cooked on the aga is served in the dining room and the granary meal house which adjoins each other. You can savour the delights of local sausages and dry cured bacon, black puddings, organic milk and butter, bread and teas and also our own free range eggs. We recently won Flavours of Hambleton Award for breakfast 2007

Seasonal fruit is offered on the sideboard along with homemade jams and marmalade, local honey and lemon curd. Vegetarian and those on special diets are happily catered for with advance notice.

With prior notice and if convenient I would be happy to prepare dinner for you. The food is home cooked and wholesome using fresh local produce or our home reared meat whenever possible.

I try and offer a variety of traditional favourites such as roast beef and yorkshire pudding as well as an imaginative fare.

As dinner is a set menu without choice it is essential that guests let us know of any food requirements. The menu might consist of 2 or 3 courses depending on appetite.

After dinner relax with coffee in our comfortable guest lounge overlooking the garden a bountiful supply of books and games can be found or just relax and indulge in conversation.

Lovesome Hill is not licensed but please feel free to bring your own wine and we will do the rest.

If you prefer to eat out - foodies are well served with a variety of hostelries and restaurants in surrounding towns and villages.

Information and menus available for your perusal.
